Not that anybody cares about most of these washers as most of you like to say Maytag Atlantis washers and such were the reason Maytag was closed but for those of you who like Maytag Neptune washers you may like this brochure. I found these on web archives and just thought i should share them. The first few are from the the 2005 Maytag Laundry brochure and the rest are from the 2006 Maytag Laundry Brochures. Let me start by saying this is going to be a LONG post as these are the complete laundry brochures for Maytag Laundry in 2005 and 2006. I also have to apologize for the sizing, some of it may not be readable but it would not have fit if the size was any larger.

Just to say, as I understand ... the 9700 and 8700 Neptunes were sourced from Samsung, not the same as the "original" MAH3000, 4000, 5500, 6500, and 7500.

I have an FAV6800.

The showering detergent dispenser perhaps doesn't "disperse" the detergent "throughout the load" as well as touted.  A queen-size comforter suffered burn-spots from damp powdered detergent caught in the folds that didn't flush out and dissolve promptly.

The softener dispenser quickly accumulates residue from thick liquids.

The wash action perhaps isn't as gentle as claimed.  I was surprised to note the amount of lint residue in the drained wash water from a load of jeans.  On the flip-side, small loads and large loads of light-weight fabrics don't tumble very well, if at all.  I once ran a load of 21 typical synthetic- and cotton-blend oxford button-down shirts and watched the load not roll over even once during the entire wash period.  I restarted the cycle and manually assisted it to roll over on the 2nd run.

Honestly...

As soon as the powerfin went white, I kinda lost interest.

And I don't think it was any one particular design that brought Maytag down.
