Maytag Model # 101 p Colleyville Texas !

This model has a lever on it to raise and lower wheels for moving it. I have never saw this before on a washing machine.

I have seen a similar arrangement on power tool bases-table saws and radial saws to make them sort of portable.First time I had seen it on a washer.My Shopsmith has a roller base-with retractable casters-but not the lever like on the washer base.

Granny's 24 inch wide (60cm) Whirlpool (mid-70's?) top-loader had this same portability feature, as did my Malber Comb-o-matic.

We're spending the night in Glen Rose, Texas - home of Dinosaur Valley State Park and the beautiful Paluxy River! We're less than an hour away from the AMP! Tomorrow we bring her home! In the meantime, we scour the countryside for potential amazing finds. So far, lots of crappage and no treasure. ;-)
