This should settle the TL vs FL debate once and for all...
AND the kerfuffle around gun control...
AND the brouhaha over abortion...
AND what really is causing global weather change...
AND which earthly monotheism represents the TRUE God of the Universe.

"Overcustomize" as negative

Delicate things to wash in hot:

-certain tableclothes
-certain pillows
-certain blankets

Deep Fill giving more peace of mind then cleaning power: depends, but probably mostly true.
Long cycle times: Compared to SQ, yes, but I think among TLs not to far from usual, as long as you don't run the PowerWash cycle all the time.
No whites cycle: PowerWash, extra rinse, stain treat.

They seam to finaly get closer to really good HE machines that do not need expert knowledge to operate and understand.

My Maytag MVWC415EW doesn't have long cycle times like the Maytag in this review. The cycle times are consistently 50 to 55 mins. The longest time I've noticed so far in over 4 mo of use is 60 mins for Powerwash, heavy soil level, hot wash and optional presoak. I primarily use either the Powerwash or Deepwater cycles with heavy soil level and hot or warm wash and these cycles never exceed 55 mins. And I've never had cleaner laundry in an automatic washer.

The Maytag in this review sounds a lot like the WP Cabrio that I had in 2010 thru 2012. Now that machine had seemingly endless cycle times, due to its inablility to keep loads balanced, and constantly re filling with rinse water in a futile attempt to achive a balanced load.

Maytag must be using different programming in this machine, because my experience has been nothing like this review.

Your's is smaller by a bit more than a ft³, and I think yours is the VMW platform with the beltdrive, this one should be based on the revised and current DD Cabrio&#92Oasis design.

Longer filltimes and more agitation time probably cause the extended cycle times, especially on DeepFill settings in combination with higher loads and soil settings.
