Maytag Washer LAT9200BAM

I recently acquired a 1993 Maytag Washer LAT9200BAM. It's in good shape for it's age--it needs a new pump and the damper pads hopefully just need lubed. The drawback is that it's only a one-speed motor; if I can get a two-speed motor do I have to get a new control panel in order to make it work?

Congratulations on the new acquisition!  The answer to your question is yes...with that model washer, you'll need a new control panel AND timer if you want to upgrade to a two speed motor.  You'll also need to rig a wiring harness to accommodate the two speed motor to its new timer.
