It's hard to tell looking at a small picture but these earlier machines are simpler and easier to work on than the later ones. As long as the agitator post and bearings are in good condition, it's generally restorable.

IIRC almost from start all Maytag WW were designed to be rebuilt/refinished. Dealers were encouraged to take machines that were traded in or whatever, give them appropriate treatment, mark them up and sell them on.

My Maytag service manual for dealers gives extensive and exhaustive details on doing such restoration/repair/rebuild work on range of models. Of course Maytag sold paints, spray guns, parts, kits and whatever else a dealer could possibly need for such work.

Year or so ago now there was an auction from an old hardware store that had shelves full of NOS Maytag WW bits. Rollers, paint, etc... lots of goodies.

A member did a full restore job on his Maytag 90.

Oh that’s awesome,

And you know what I’m kind of thinking about maybe moving on my thor automagic And instead, having this one and considering this two of them, should I pick up both of them? Or just one of them and then go from there?

If you have space and cost not too dear I'd go with taking both. Then you can build one good washer using bits from either. That and one will act as source of spares for other in case nothing else is to be found.

Maytag service manual one mentioned is also found in AW library.

What sets Maytag wringer washers apart from many others is that there are still tons of spares out there, good number of them NOS still in packaging. Though you have have to order some bits from places in USA such as eBay.

If you do decide to proceed most likely will need new mangle (wringer) rollers. These may be specific to Maytag 90 I don't know. That is rollers that fit later models may not work. Others out there and or consulting manual will have correct answer.

Got them both out of the car

And here is how they look, One of them has the drain spigot thing. Looks like it has either come undone or broken off more likely the second one, I paid $50 for each. And the machine that looks a bit cleaner is the one with Some cracks around Where the aluminium tub bolts to the wringer power unit, And I may Have three white rollers but one black one which probably needs to be replaced
