Heads up

This is not a belt drive. We techs refer to this as the "mut" model. Its porcelain tub with direct drive pump/motor. This was the trasition to the plastic tub.

The belt drive version is a WU1000.

Maytag offered an electronic control (belt-drive) dishwasher from around the mid-80's - I'm shocked you didn't know that Bob!!
