Miele Dishwasher Extended Warranty

Looking at the Miele G 4948 SCU and looking for thoughts on the Miele 5 Year Extended Service Contract at $299.00 vs $200 or so for square trade or keeping the $300 to pay out of pocket if repairs are required. Want to get something that will last for at least 5 years with no major out of pocket costs. Others considering are Bosch 500 and 800 series, LG, Kitchen Aid, or a Miele Futura Classic Plus G4925SCU or Maytag MDB8969SDM if someone has one laying around.

The first repair on a miele is going to be at least $500. That said, I’d go with the kitchen aid. Solid performance, and inevitably when it breaks you can source parts quickly and almost anyone can fix it.
