Thanks for posting this video. It helps answer two questions I had. When my Dw is filling at the end of the fill period it sounds like the water is being directed into another part of the machine. You usually don't hear any water running in at all but you can hear this at the end but it doesn't do it all the time. I asked the tech about this and he said that it had to do with mixing hard and soft water according to the incoming water hardness and the cycle being used. This video shows how this happens.

That's odd I finally saw a Video of the inside while washing of a Miele and was shocked at the wash power of it.It was really moving some water compared to the other Videos of Siemens,and some others.Now my Aunt has a commercial Miele that moves 109 gallons a Min and I have to say it could out wash anything I have seen in any kitchen and makes a old KDS-18 look like a Frigidaire (PLEASE DON"T BURN ME AT THE STAKE) The Shear power on intensive is unreal and it gets the water up to like boiling temp if you want to hers is at 160 degrees but it will go much higher and that is in the main wash.I love the machine and would love to have one but they cost as much as a new car well a small econ car that is.That's the only filter machine I have used that even if I dump food in there it's gone..I guess it's the heat and the the amount of water being blown through that washer.I could have got a Miele for not much more than my New G.E. Profile and I would have now but hindsight is always another story but my G.E. is now (as long as I have Phosphates in the detergent) cleaning fantastic and cleans silverware better than any machine I have ever had even my Kenmore Powerlcean. It seems a lot of dishwasher's are going to a Frigidaire type wash system with the arms stop and starting.

The starch, cheese, pots and pans and Sani cycles use temps around 170F. I usually try not to wash glasses in these loads.
The rest of the cylces can use 104F,120F, 130F, 115F, 150F, and there are some cycles that vary the temperature between 104F and 150F depending on the soil conditions and load size.

What kind of motor's does Miele use?I have only used two Miele and I love the tray at the top .She entertains alot and she bought two new T.O.L. K-Aids for her Kitchen remod last year or so and she hated them and so did I.They would wash forever and not clean so she got that commercial Miele and a normal one, the ten min wash option she loved and that sold her on the Commercial .Does Miele make everything that they put in there like they do with there Vacuums, down to the motor's? Thanks for the Videos I always wonder what all those extra things were on the side it looks like you get more for your money sense a T.O.L. G.E. Dishwasher is 1500 bucks and the motor's are not German quality.The motor in mine is made in South Korea at least instead of China.
Miele does indeed make most of the components that go into their products...motors included. The dishwashers are well made and they clean well. I love mine and if we ever sell this house its coming with us. It will be 3 years old in September and not one problem at all with it.
