I have seen that Miele has launched a few 10 kg washing machines in Italy and the Netherlands.
Upon further investigation, it appears that they haven't increased the drum size to accommodate the extra kg.
I thought they would have used the Little Giant 73-litre drum, but this would increase the depth of the washing machine.
It's a shame they have played the game of their competitors.
It once was a 10:1 ratio, 10 liters for every 1 kg laundry, then they went to 9:1, 8:1, 7.3:1, and now 6.5:1.
There is no difference in drum size between the 8kg, 9kg, and now 10kg machine.

Of the machines with low weight/volume ratios, Miele still does perform best though, at least in my experience.
Keep in mind AEG runs a similar ratio WITHOUT any recirculation.

What is interesting is that neither wash time nor any usage data has changed from the 9kg versions for the non eco cycles.
Would have expected extended wash times by like 30min or so.
