Well, I just picked up a Novotronic dryer for fifty dollars. It has traveled the country with its previous owner and is in rough shape on the outside. It will take some elbow grease to clean off the moving tape residue and it has some broken plastic trim. I have to switch the wall plug before I can use it and try it out. It was part of a stacked unit and the washer was ruined when the owners basement flooded but the dryer was spared because it was above the water line.

Does anyone have any feedback on this dryer?

I think Miele only had 2 driers available around this time: T1515 (standard capacity) and T1526 (large capacity)... Are you sure it is a T1520?

IMHO, Miele driers are not quite of the same muster as the washers. My T1515 runs on the cool side and takes longer to dry than I think it should. It has also developed a rumble, like there are gliders for the drum that has worn down. My T1526 is sqeaky and rumbly when started cold, but it does dry hatter and faster than its little brother. Both of them cause the electrical converter box to run hot and both have blown fuses on me.

Hi Peter

I just checked the face panel and it does indeed say 1520.

I assumed that the Miele dryers were just as good as the washers like my W1903. So I'm a little sad after reading what you wrote. However, on the plus side this unit is stackable.

Do you have another recommendation for a dryer that's as good or better than the Miele 1520?
