" I Don't Like Panties Hanging In the Shower"

Quote from the film " Good-bye Girl"

Small dryer designed and sold by Sunbeam for days when good girls washed their danties nightly by hand. Instead of hanging such laundry to dry all over the bathroom or elsewhere, one bunged one's nylons, and other intimate apparel in this small dryer. Tidie Dryer by Ronco and other similar units abounded as well, much to the delight of husbands, brothers and others who did not fancy having to battle a gauntlet of danties hanging from the shower when having to use the loo.

Laundress beat me to it.

I was going to give the same answer. I remember these beind advertised for women to dry their nylons and other personal items.

This reminds me of the "Tidy Dryer". Does anyone else remember that? They were one of those K-Tel or Ronco type things that came out at Christmas. I remember the commercials for them would be on all the time leading up to the holidays. If I remember correctly, it was smaller than this Sunbeam.

Ah, this thread takes me back to my dating days. I remember using the bathroom at several dates homes and having to run the gaultlet of "dainties" myself!
Karen is limited to hanging her "dainties" in the bathroom next to the laundry room these days. It has a window that she can open and they dry quite quickly. In the meantime, I don't go in there.
