For those who have come in from out of town and are here on Saturday morning before the wash-in, and would like to go, here are a list of the best sounding estate sales in the city tomorrow for those who have gps or a old fashioned map and would like to find the next Apex. We personally won't be going to the sales as we will be frantically busy getting ready for the 4pm start of the wash-in.

Pardon my ignorance, but in the first paragraph it says "Shoes Off", does that mean that one must remove their shoes before entering the sale?

Yup that's what that means, I should delete that one, usually Shoes Off sales don't have a lot of fun vintage stuff.

I use my GPS for garage saling all the time because it directs you to the closest sale in order and you're not constantly looking at the newspaper clipping driving willy nilly. Just plug in all the addresses the night before with a name GSa, GSb,GSc etc and the closest sale should pop up first in your list of saved addresses.. once you're done there delete it and the next closest sale to wherever you are is there...Worth the price

if you happen to turn up any vintage GE service manuals, like say, a wiring diagram for a GE Combo... Ya never know!!

If "shoes off" is the case, count me out! I don't want to smell somebody's sweaty, or otherwise disgusting feet. I've had 3 foot surgeries, and I need my orthotics all the time when on my feet. Besides, the best stuff is usually found in basements, attics, or garages IMO.

Usually Shoes Off indicates new carpeting getting the home ready to sell and "clean sale" indicates 99% of the time the family already cherry picked all the good stuff and now selling the dreck. There have been a few exceptions, I did find my Penneys slate green Concept 2 at a clean sale in Creve Coeur that was in nice shape.
