It was a loud machine, but you could close the doors to the kitchen and go elsewhere while you were NOT having to wash dishes. Actually, the fuller it was loaded, the quieter it was.

Hmmm.... A 1959 model.  I guess someone touched up the front panel to match other appliances but I think the rest of the cabinet would have been an oddball colour GE called 'Sandalwood Tan'.
