I was still unable to take apart that leaky Viking(Westinghouse) dishwasher pump, the GE dryer was working beautifully and silently, and it was too cold to start messing with the Canadian Laundromat sitting out in the garage, so I figured it would fun to test-drive one of the mixers that has been in storage for ages. This week's test was with this older Montgomery Ward's mixer. Styling is pretty cool - looks like a Camfield clone (more on that later). So here we are at the start, ready to get those egg whites whipped for an Angel Food Cake.

Finished cake a success

It turned out perfectly!! This one's a keeper..
So, I have to ask if anyone knows who and how the Ward's mixers got outsourced. As I mentioned before, this mixer looks a lot like a Camfield. I have other Ward's mixers that look like Universals (a Chrome one and a white one). But Camfield and Universal mixers sure resembled Dormeyers... The beaters and bowls were the same and styling was remarkably similar. Were the three companies related?? Didn't Dormeyer make Kenmore mixers in the early to mid 1960s too??
