The pic of Geoff and his sweet rattie is great. I hope we can continue posting pics of ourselves, pets, machines, toys and hobbies. The other thread is getting so loaded up my dial up connection can't take it (around here thats two coconut halves connected with a vine ;)
Even our iMac G5 at home is beginning to choke on that thread.

So lets continue here-Right Veg?

This is a pic of my cat Kitty Boy. We tried other names and nothing else stuck so he's just kitty boy. Or the Beast.
He is drinking out of a bird bath that is so tall he is on his tippy toes to drink from it. Kitty Boy prefers water thats been sitting around to the fresh filtered water his doting dads always provide for him. He would happily drink out of a puddle on the sidewalk. We would have moved to Hawai'i a year sooner, but there were nasty quarentine laws that required kitty prison for a month and I wasn't about to do that. So we played in the Airstream for a while. In summer of '03, the laws were changed so that with proper documentation, a pet may qualify for immediate airport release.

Re: Here's my 9-year old Calico Cat:

Hi! Club Friend's and Pet Lover's Anonymous, here is a Photo of my now 91/2-year old Calico Cat Speedee. Notice that some of the Color's in her Chair are picked-up in her Tortoise-Shell Coloring as well. She was somewhat younger when the Picture was taken, but she looks basically the same, except like "Daddy" a little Heavier now...

Peace and Fun of Sharing with each other something about ourselves, our Pet's and Collection's, Steve

AWWWWWWW :)

Dave, Steve, Austin, your cats are GORGEOUS!!! Oh, I have SUCH a weakness for cats. They are just absolutely adorable. Both of my cats had to be put down last September. Tigee(Tye-Gee)just made it to 20 and developed Congestive Heart Failure, and my Gorgeous Smokey, was 7 and developed Pancreatic Cancer. Thank god I have my boys though. The one pictured was Sneezer and My other rat is Templeton. I'll have to get a pic going of him. I have them, plus my 3 loveable mice :)

Re: Pix of Pet's:

"OMG" geoff, I'm so sorry to hear about your Cat's, especially the younger one. You know that the older one did have a wonderful longer life and they both had wonderful lives anyway, no doubt.

Speedee was the only Kitty to survive an unfortunate short life, that her other Sister's or Brother's lived. One of them just was too weak, although 3 of us tried to Nurse it along and the other had an unfortunate death happened to it, by an O'Possum that got into the Back Yard.

Speedee gave me quite a chase around the Back Yard, until I cornered her and got to pick her up. When I did she yelled and screamed and carried on, until her Mother Jumped over the Fence of the Neighbor's, took one look at me and Hissed at me and I Hissed back at her and she Jumped back over the Fence. I put Speedee against my Chest and started to pet her on her Head and she calmed down right away. "BTW" she was only the size of the Palm of my Hand, when I first went out to try and get her, to show my Mother and Gary {God Rest Mom, Dad and Gary}. Since she gave me such a run for my money and I had decided to keep her, that is why she got the name of Speedee.

I look forward in getting to see more Pet's of those who have them and are able to share some Photo's.

Peace, Happiness and Thanks to everyone, for thinking about these new ways of Posting Threads for sharing some of our Lives with each other...Steve

Your Cats

These are great pictures everyone!

Geoff, sorry to hear about your 7-year old cat. Mine turned 7 this past summer, and it would absolutely crush me if I lost her.

Pete

Here's a picture of my pet bunny, i loved him so. He passed away a few years ago and this was my second one. He was 5 years old and my first one was was 7. This is snuggles, he lived in my kitchen and was litter boxed trained and use to like to sit on my wifes lap we we ate dinner. My wife does not want to get any more pets as she has a very hard time when they go to pet heaven. I would love tog et another as I love things that are warm and fuzzy.

pet heaven

Yes, I can sympathize with the "Pet Heaven" thing being a drag, especially for things like mice, rats, gerbils, hamsters, & such wich only make it to about 2 years, and even cats & dogs, which are supposed to "average" 15 years often don't make it that long, and even if they do make it to the full 15-20, the years seem to go by so fast and often those last few are pretty pathetic.

Rickr & Bethann

This picture was taken last night before I killed Rick with to many cocktails, to much smoke, and a lot of loud music. Rick's head got cut off cuz he's so damn tall!( Maybe I'm to short! )We took another one that he squated down for but I had redeye ( I was probably thinking about Veg or something! )
Rick is one of the nicest people! For the members that have not met him he's really a great guy! His home is beautiful! I have so many pictures that you Guy's are going to drool over it's not even funny! I'm going to make a Rick's house thread later on tonight.Just wait you Guy's are really gonna freak!
There's a better picture of Rick on the Here's my picture thread.

MY baby Basia

Here is a pic of my baby, Basia. She passed away this past year. I loved her dearly. She came from a litter of pups from my partners dog, Baby. He had passed away in 1990 (bad car accident) His mom called me the following year and told me his dog was going to have pups. Of course I took one. One of our favorite singers was Basia, thus her name. Vets and groomers both told me they had never experienced such a great Chow. Groomers would usually say no on the phone when they found out it was a Chow. However, I would talk them into trying just once with me there and they would fall in love with her.<p> When I first got her I was apprehensive about getting a chow. Her mother would usually lay under the table and growl really low if we had visitors. The Vet told me to keep her socialized with other animals and people. So every where I went, Basia was sure to go. LOL. Looking back, I am sure that my friends and family cringed whenever they saw me coming with Basia in tow. But the vet had given me great advice and she was the sweetest Chow there ever was. :)

My beloved black & white cat, Bundles. He wandered up here October '98 as a skinny little kitten who followed our neighbor home for nearly a mile; we had no other cats so he literally found our yard...LOL. He was a little shy but had a nice disposition, but when he was 2 and Jet (big, beautiful black cat; went to "kitty heaven" in September 2003) walked up...let's just say I never thought he would have a dark side! He chased that poor cat up a tree the day he walked up, and pretty much became the "third parent"--when Jet was digging or doing something destructive and we scolded him, he ran off and Bundles took off after him!

As a sidenote, he didn't stay small for long! By the time he was 3, he stood 1' 2" at the shoulder (yes, SHOULDER), and weighed 16 pounds! Very strong kitty too!

After witnessing many cats come through our doors (including the birth of the "kitties"), his "pissy" attitude lessened up, and when Jet died, he took over the job of keeping wild cats out of our yard. No fighting was necessary--they took one look at Bundles and ran off, of course with him on their tail!

Inside the house, he was nice & quiet, and just went & laid down somewhere, sometimes "kneading" on a blanket or human, purring loudly. His fur was VERY soft and felt more like a rabbit than a cat...made a good "kitty pillow"...LOL. He was a VERY photogenic cat, and I took more than 100 pictures of him in his lifetime. In the morning he would wait at the door, being the dominant male he would want to be fed first. He would also wait in the front yard at night; sometimes I would go out there and bring him inside for the night. Out of our many cats, he was my favorite.

Sadly, on April 13, 2004, Bundles didn't show up at the back door, which I thought was unusual. I also was up late that night (around 2:30) and didn't see him in the front yard. In the morning my dad found him laying there by the curb; he had been hit by a car and appeared to have died quickly. I was glad he didn't suffer, but that was probably the worst day of my life and I couldn't get over the fact that he was gone for a while. I still miss him...:(

Westy,

I had a 16 year old cat that I had put to sleep due to complications with his liver. He had been diabetic for many years. He required lots of medication and 2 insulin shots a day. It was worth it.

I was devastated to say the least. I did this memorial to him and found it really helped me get over loosing him. The picture at the top of the page was taken just days before he got really sick and subsequently died. Even though it's been a few years and I adore my new cat I still get teary eyed when I read his memorial.
