Lately little things has been bothering me more than normal.
When was the last time you've brought a merchandise and the instructions is not up to snuff?

As time goes on, I'm see this getting worse and worse and at the point on screaming "KEEP IT SIMPLE!"
Is it just me or people just don't give a damb about my hard earded dollar.

Hard earned dollar

"It's hard to give a damn about money when someone has never make their own money"

This is a quote my grandmother used to say to me during a time when I let a friend stay with me and mooch. While it doesn't much pertain to instructions, it does bring up interesting points on it's own. I'm very old fashioned, I was raised by my grandparents and I do believe in a hard days work. I have several friends/co-workers that are in their late 20's through mid 30's live at home with their parent still. When I rant about spending money or not getting exactly what I paid for I get criticized by them for "making too much of a stink" over it. That's an easy statement to make when you're unemployed (purposefully) and have not a care in the world. One person bought a new PlayStation 3 and asked me when I'm going to get on board and I replied "when you buy me one...". That shut him up pretty good. So easy to continue this rant.... :)

I feel you!

But it really stresses me out that I'm a 46 year old man and can't seem to grasp some new tech that is not new but troublesome.
What I mean, software not meshing together after being in development for so long and yet still you can hit forum sites and never get the correct answer/tech support and it's the same thing.

Is it that hard to keep it simple?

Why do I have jump through 5 hurdles to get to point A to B?

SMH!

I rarely buy any newfangled things out because--

I know that, if I wait long enough, the price will be reduced to a more affordable one.I also, know that a lot of them have "bugs" in them and, after they're out on the market a while, the "bugs" are fixed and/or replaced with improved parts.

I learned this when the new front loading FRIGIDAIRE'S came out and I just had to have one.By the time it was over,my Sears Kenmores cost me almost $2000!!!They lasted about 3 years and Sears and I went round and round about their failing to give me great customer service. They had messed up on my payments(they closed their pay bill desk and had cashiers taking the payments.I had two accounts and the two checks I was writing them were deposited in only one causing the service contract one to be closed)and we went to court. I won and Sears had to refund back all the money I had paid them($1765)so far because the pair was replaced and the original ones thrown away.Their lawyer was nasty and caused a ruckus making the judge angry for having such a negative attitude yelling and screaming about my negligence and I,fortunately, had all the cancelled checks I had written for the payments. Most were written out for twice or three times the amount due on each because I planned on paying the balance off in 6 months.Others were paid in 2 week instead of one month intervals.meanwhile,KMart had bought Sears Holding and messed the account up even more. the judge was so good because they saw I had my ducks in order and they didn't.I replaced them with a GE set I got for free(Profiles made by FRIGIDAIRE)from a dealer friend who'd dropped them during delivery and was afraid their damage would be too severe. He removed the tags and let me have them. I used them for 4 months when A friend who bought the ensembles from K'Aid called to tell me their pair was too deep and I swapped mine for theirs.Used them for almost two years.Sold them for $1600 and got the L.G.s.I sold them when I left the mainland and moved here.

...never get the correct answer/tech support...

Generally, when I call tech support, I end up solving my own problem AFTER telling the tech guy how to change the settings, properties, or whatever in my various programs. These people are supposed to know this stuff and I, whose computer is 7 years old and whose cell phone is so outdated that most of my friends laugh, have to tell them how to fix MY problem. I generally figure out the fix while the tech guy has me on hold, asking his supervisor about my situation.

Cleanteamofny, i definately understand what u are talking about. I recently Bundled our ISP,phone, cable. Well, our security system did not communicate well with the new phone system. I am willing to guess 5 techs dug around in wires in the attic before my problems were resolved. I do appreciate them resolving the problem, but after 5 tries I think it was sheer luck that they got it to work right. I think sometimes at the workplace, its not so much the IT guys problem, but that management often selects, cheaper parts and pieces of different software products and programs, add in aging desk tops and its a recipe for total frustration. alr2903
