Claims to result is soft sheets.  My sheets are fine with a good detergent. They do tell you not to mix  the two, just rinse with vinegar added to rinse water.

On your next laundry day, wash your sheets with 1 cup of baking soda and ½ cup of vinegar to sleep on comfortable, supple bed sheets.

If you naturally use detergent when washing your bedsheets, you might notice how they get stiff as you try to put them back on your bed. Bedsheets with a higher thread count are known to be softer, but if you don't wash them as needed, they can wear out and lose their softness over time. It's essential to read their care tag and follow the recommendations, but if you wash your sheets like the rest of your laundry, baking soda can help bring the softness back.

I suppose this could work if

You actually had harsh, scratchy sheets, it would likely be caused by mineral buildup from hard water, and using two Little detergent, detergent is a natural fabric softener and leaves clothing, soft and nice even if it’s not rinsed out completely.

People just have no idea of how things work any longer. It’s really sad we don’t teach more science in school.

certain youtuber

This reminds me of a certain youtuber who claims that fabric softener ruins and kills your machine... yeah, like I would believe that. And seriously, why would I use only an ounce of laundry detergent? Nothing will EVER get clean or soft, EVER!!!! I am sick and tired of this stupidity like this. All it does is just make your clothes smell worse, on top of cold water washing all the time. All in the name of "saving the planet". Enough of this CRAP!!!! SMH!

Tradition continues wanting a bulk load of baking soda and vinegar to make fizz in a cup, my mom didn't like me using all of it up of, and never got tired of that novelty, years later, my daughter wanting to endlessly mix both, but neither she or I nor anyone else we know ever drank...

Let's put this to good use putting in the washing machines, if we want something more useful for this feat, and who wouldn't want to see this much volume in your washer's wash tub?
