I am going to be bringing home a Flair this Fri. What is the best way to move this? I know they weigh a ton. It currently sits on the pedestal, should I take it off of there. I have a great appliance dolly, but am worried that is is so top heavy on the dolly that it will come crashing down on me! Some of you have these, please advise. Thanks, Don

Hi Don! Get about six strong guys! Mike and I moved that one in his garage by ourselves and it was HEAVY. My arms just about came out of the sockets. We lifted it off its pedistal. The Flairs are so heavy and so awkward that the best thing in my opinion is to have lots of man power and take your time. Good luck and be careful.

unhook it from the base

I've moved a few of these beasts in my day, and I would definitely recomend separating it from the base. There are, as I recall two bolts in the back, and two in the front.

Once you've done that, if you have no steps to contend with, you can get three other friends, and each take a corner.

I hate moving those beauties, and don't envy you that task. Be careful and enjoy your new stove!

Heavy Duty Carts

Definitly separate the pieces. If stairs aren't involved
you may be able to rent one of the "waist high" heavy duty
utility carts, some what akin to those units one uses @ Home Depot or Lowes. If you don't have to make tight space turns
this method is adequate with just two movers and of course the requisite 1/2 inch thick door wide plywood for ramping up or down steps. Though that is the only way I have moved my 40"
Flair, I also don't see why you couldn't carefully tip it over, onto one side (with the racks removed and even the oven doors removed, I can't recall if the doors are completely removeable) and use a regular belted appliance dolly. Clear a wide path!!! Use card board to protect appliance corners and floors. Good Luck !!
