Hey guys,

Well my dad has just about completed a new extension on his house which included a utility and he has bought my mum a new AEG set the 7kg 1400 washer and matching vented dryer!

I love them and can't wait to get them plumbed in and going!

I had tried to save my dad a few quid going down the zanussi road with them being practically the same but the entire kitchen is the same and he wanted AEG so I helped him get the right ones!

Heres some pics! There still in there film to protect them while the plumbing is done in the next few days.

Wow

Protex drum looks wicked! Funky panels and still damp from testing!

These machines are growing on me. With the Bosch replacement option, this could be a winner!

nice machines

Very nice machines Darren, I remember when i came to your house, must have been 2005 ish :) and you had your old AEG washer, and your Hoover Logic working outside =]

Im sure though that AEG are made in Thailand now, aren't they? I know they aren't made in Germany any more to save money. or are they made in Italy??, shame about the whelded tubs, I dont get why they do this? As its companies ways of making people buy new machines instead of fixing them =[

nether the less, very nice machines

I love them

They look very nice indeed. I kept looking at these in our local John Lewis & Currys stores. I like the drum in the washer. Does it has a normal universal motor or Inverter motor?

Thanks for uploading the pics.

Niiiiice......

Love the drum design & the really clean lines of the control panels, really marks them out as more upmarket to the Zanussis.

Would be suprised if the machines were made in Thailand but i guess Darren will be able to confirm whether the machines say 'Made in EU' or not. Nearly everyone does welded tubs now but i also wish they wouldn't - i can't imagine it can save that much money & i'm suprised the environmental brigade havn't kicked-off yet as it's such a waste chucking less than 5 year old machines into landfill/recycling.

Anyway, rant over, they look good machines. For me the Jetsystem will be the deal-breaker. If the AEGs don't have it i don't want one. Might aswell spend less on a Zanussi & get it as standard. However if the AEGs do have it, i could be very tempted!

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Dex & Liam: No jet on this one unfortunately.

AEG03 & glenfieldmathk1: It has an inverter motor which is why I pushed for this washer.

Welded tubs, pretty much standard guys. When the bearings go you buy another one is what they want!

Austin the indesit is fine it and the reeling AEG dryer from the old set are staying in the garage to wash outwear and dog towels etc.

Once the plumbings sorted i'll be installing them, trying them out and making videos!

No Jet :(

Shame. That'd put me off quite abit. Lets hope it makes up for this in other ways - looking forward to the vids!
