and, even if he was not a Democrat from my side of the party, the loss of any politician who had the, goodness, what is a nice word from the mauve decade to put in here? Oh, yes: the moral courage of his convictions, to stand up to shrub over that illegal war and the appalling treatment of veterans by the rethuglicans deserves respect.

George Bush has been out of power for > 1 year.
The Democrats have controlled the house and senate with large majorities since 2006.
It's time to stop blaming everything on GWB.

Murtha served his country well in many capacities, but he was far from perfect. RIP.
