Hi Guys,

Well apart from being unwell I have managed to bring myself to do some laundry.

I've been using the bosch today to wash a duvet.

One of my bugbares with this machine is the centre of the load can remain dry for too long and it really desperately could do with the cascade fill like its smaller bosch logixx siblings. It would really help the bulky loads get wet quickly. My dear friend Austin ozzie988 has a whirlpool dreamspace which I feel has the advantage in these situations due to its front fill system.

Other than that irritation I do enjoy using this machine and the giant paddles really do move the load and water around fantastically.

Nice washer -love the big paddles.  I guess this one doesn't tangle sleeves as badly as the Dreamspace? Is it true, though, that the heating element is only like 1.500 watts?

Hi Alex,

I've had no major issues with tangling. Sheets can be the worst if there are a lot of them.

You could be right as it can take a while to heat especially if I add extra water

I did check Bosch's spare parts homepage and indeed it says: "heater, 230V, 1300 watts". Seems like they used the same weak heater from the US but now on a cold-fill only machine.

 

My Dreamspace heats at 2000 watts and has a hot-fill option. Since I moved, it has been connected to cold water and I find 2000 watts too little power to heat the water effectively. Although the manual says it will wash 6 kg on Daily Wash, the puny heater won't heat the water to 40C during the 25-minute main wash.

Is a cascade fill where the water wets the glass before disappearing?
