Now are on the market, there used to be a wonderful family owned Italian restaurant way out in the middle of no where, near North Wilkesboro NC,Mr John Roselli ,a New York native, married a Wilkes county farm girl many years ago, in 1967 they decided to open a small, weekend restaurant,it was successful beyond anyones wildest imagination, open only on Friday and Saturday nights, people came from all over, if you didnt get there before 5 pm, you stood in a long line...it was wayyyy out in the country on a dirt road!! After Mr Rosellis death in 1979, Granny Daisy carried on with her husbands familys recipes, and her own special salad dressing and desserts, she worked until she was 100!! Finally having to retire because of health, she passed away at 101, a few years ago, the restaurant closed, and I never thought I would taste the unique salad dressing and pasta sauce again, but her children and grandchildren have started a company and are bottling her recipes now!!! I was sOOO happy!...if you would like to try them, the address is [email protected] .

That always hit me how in the USA you find so many "italian style" dressings...while in Italy actually, prepared seasonIngs and dressing for salads in bottles are unexistent, there is not even the concept of dressing with creamy sauces rather than vinaigrettes or citronettes etc you exclusively make at home...I wish I could easily find them over here...I also always have to buy them elsewhere... and also make my own creamy dressings...

How does that sauce compare to Betty Feezor's sauce recipe (which is still one of my all time favorites!)??
