In our "new" house(we moved in just less than a year ago) it has a loft in the master-bedroom. Steve has a hard time with stairs because of his back, so I took it over as my space. I wanted a space with one of my old tv sets to watch either Perry Mason or Have Gun - Will Travel on, plus also listen to my record albums. I bought these shelve cubes from Wal-Mart. They hold the record albums perfectly. On the one end I have my 1959 Magnavox console. On Friday, the second last piece to be placed up there arrived. That was the couch. My grandparents had owned it for a number of years. Several years back I mentioned to my grandmother if they ever wanted to get rid of it, that I'd be intrested in it. After she passed away this past week, my grandpa, wanted me to go ahead and take it. At first I didn't feel right taking it right away, but he insisted.
The last piece(which is a surprise and not a washing machine related item) has arrived, I just need to do some work on it, before placing it on the cabinet that is lying down on it's side.
The couch was in a home, when my grandparents bought it, in 1989. They had it in the family room in their basement. They acutally used the room as a storage room so the couch had stuff piled on top of it. After inspecting it, I found a tag that said it was manufactured for Montgomery Wards.
