My Lady Kenmore can't tell time!

Hello all, Steve here. I have a 1968 Lady Kenmore washer with a bad timer! I sent the timer to Midwest who sent it back saying the points were no longer available. I then called Reeco timer in Florida (another very nice group of people) and explained my dilemma. He also said that parts were no longer available. The model number for my LK is 110.6804901 and the actual part number for the timer is 88617. With the exception of the timer issue, the Lady is in pristine condition, and is dying to get her buttons pushed once again!! Does anybody have any ideas or information that would be helpful? Or is there an angel from heaven who has a spare timer, or could repair mine? Thanks much to everyone.

I know little about timers but I will say that Mark (lightedcontrols) and I did fix a 1-18 with a bad timer. The timer itself was fine and performed all of the correct functions, but it would not advance. It ended up just being a bad timer motor which was a quick swap and she was up and running again. Perhaps it could just be that?

Do you have any pics of the timer ? I might have one , I got a bunch of timers a month ago , and I run into them sometimes , Also they arn't too tough to fix .
I do them often for the late 70's to mid 80's Kenmores , and alot of times the contacts are dirty and they just need to be filed and moved closer together .
My first question is , Does the timer run through the complete cycle , from fill ,rinse ,final spin ?
Or does if hang up or stop ?
Does it always stop in the same position of the timer ?
What part of the wash cycle in not opperating ?
Are the points burned ?
How is the drum ? , some of them get a melted spot from the points overheating
Does the timer advance through the cylce at all ?
