My new AEG set has arrived!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Steve: I'll bet it's a cost cutting exercise. Like Zanussi you could only get it on the TOL. You cant even get a Jetsystem zanussi in the new range :-(

Regarding tumbles: they have brpught back my favourite double speed tumbles on this range. Slow then fast then slow again, with some distrubutions too! Apparently the cottons Eco cycle does some long distribution tumbles :-)

Rolls: the pumps needed replacing and the jets kept getting blocked. We had planned to buy a Heatpump brand new but the panasonics dryer reviews were hideous. I was annoyed that the nachine had gone wrong so soon so I spoke to hubby and said can we buy new and I'll promise to keep them! The wash house down the garden will be for my 2nd hand stuff!

I looove this new set you have Darren, so very sexy lol Since we are moving house soon I want to buy a brand new machine when we do but I will keep the Simpson. I love it but have a hankering for something brand new lol I like all things Electrolux *pic below* so might get one of their new models which look quite nice or branch out to the AEG's. Also considering Bosch.

Heatpump dryers are becoming more of an item to buy in our markets but are very very expensive. I personally would probably get the use out of one because I like to use a dryer more often than not (blasphemous in a tropical country i know lol) My friends just purchased the Miele one and it does a great job but I agree the 'fridge' noise weirded us all out when we heard it but all part of the Heatpump experience lol

Shame about the jet but I think from what you have said it does an amazing job regardless but I understand why you would feel a bit ripped off lol (i certainly would lol).

Congratulations and hope they serve you for many years to come :-D

Matt those electrolux machines are beautiful. They've bloody discontinued them here else I'd have considered Them over the AEGs same machine I just like the look!

I'm happy with my choice though 😁

Recirculating Jet System

You wont miss what you haven't got. *LOL*

Our Oko-Lavamat has the system and it is just one more thing to go wrong IMHO. It hasn't yet but would much prefer the machine topped up with enough water in the first place without resorting. Am not particularly fond of the first load after the machine has been sat sitting using that same water which has been sitting in the sump. AEG claims the washer pumps out at the start of each new cycle but you just can't be sure can you?

The other worry is if your previous load was darks, denims, or something that bled color, and or shed excessively some of that is going to become sprayed over the next wash.

Very nice set you've got there, am sure it will give every satisfaction for years to come.

Hey Darren

They look like great machines!

I was just wondering.....what is the dryer like with bedding? Does it go into a ball? What difference does the reverse plus make? With my Miele T1 heatpump (TKG440WP) it is one of the worst dryers I have ever used for balling bedding into a tangled mess. Apparently it's a known issue and I have had Miele out to install the update that Germany came up with. It now reverses exactly every 5 minutes but only for 10 seconds. I have to be honest, I don't know how often it reversed before or what the update was exactly. My dryer does not have any "reverse plus" option or bedding cycle. It does a good job of drying everything else but the jury's still out on whether the update has fixed the problem.

Enjoy your sickie ;-)

Hi Mark,

Thought i'd jump in re the balling up ( I have the TOL AEG heat pump model, similar to Darrens, just glass door and large, touchscreen display ) There is a bedding cycle that works really well and has never balled up any of the bedding. Strangely if I put bedding on a regular cottons cycle it will almost always ball up within minutes. I think the drum turns slower on the bedding cycle and reverses more frequently.

Awesome looking set!  I can't get over how quiet that 1,600 spin is!  I bet the fabric is near dry when finished.

Is this washer a direct drive motor or a belt drive?

Very impressive!

Thanks for the videos.
