My new magazine column~

I wanted to let you guys know that you were the inspriration for my newest article in my local magazine. I think a few on here know that I'm a free lance writer for a few assorted publications from time to time. I haven't written a single article in almost 2 years now. I stopped writing in order to devote more time to building my business and taking care of my marriage. But I wanted to thank you all because some of the intellect on here is awesome and it put writing back in my bloodstream. I am mainly a family type writer and some obscure abstract fantasy writer and have never till now attempted to write a technical do it yourself repair type article. Informative type article if I may say so. I never knew that such would be so hard but it was. It has been accepted and will be in the winter issue of my local magazine. I can say this...writing on this web site has gotten me back into getting back in touch with the keyboard and paying attention to usage, grammar and the like. Thanks all. Anyone else here a writer of any kind. Really interested in talking to any technical writers. The nearest I ever came to writing tech was writing SOP's (Standing Operating Procedures) for my former place of employment (LAAP..Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant.) Be looking to hear from such folks .Thanks again.

As fate would have it, part of my current employment involves writing user manuals and implementation documentation for business systems. I'm a frustrated 'wanna-be' writer for other stuff - I've written stage plays, screenplays, and one novel (so far). Nothing published and a pile of rejection notices to show for it... But, one has to keep trying! It is the rest of my job that keeps interfering with my writing and publishing attempts... lol
