Soap Stash
Hmm, tempting but already have a case of P&G "white" laundry soap, along with two small boxes full of vintage Fels Naptha soap bars (both Purex and pre-Purex), along with a box full of Kirkman's Borax soap. All that with a huge basket of various French soaps laying about here.
Guess that counts me out!
From what one can tell Rinso was done in by Tide, even when Rinso switched to detergent from soap.
Rinso's claim to fame was that it used more sodium silicate than washing soda, which, according to the folks at Rinso meant it was cleaner rinsing and eaiser on fabrics.
Rinso also was one of the early detergents to jump on the OBA bandwagon with "Solium" or whatever.
The brand name of Rinso was sold off to a dollar store chain in California who now sells laundry products under that name. Rinso is also still sold in other parts of the world as well.
