Maytag serial numbers are coded for the month and year of production. Model numbers are much less specific for dating but also need to be noted to get the general era of the machine since the serial coding runs on a repeating cycle.
Ahh, someone up I-35 from me. That washer will hold one set of queen size sheets, MAYBE 1 king size sheet set. Think of standard capacity from the 1970s like a Kenmore or Whirlpool.
looks like the washer Mother had just prior to her stacked set. It held their king-sized sheet set just fine. Her stacked set holds the king sheets fine too.
Thanks, everyone, for the input. I don't need to do large volumes of laundry, so that doesn't present a problem for me. I just want to find another workhorse!
It'll work fine for smaller clothes loads, small blankets, and sheets but will not handle comforters for even a twin bed. Same goes for large blankets. My couch covers and 20X20 fleece blankets will not even fit in the tub.
