Needing Advice on Maytag

I just had a front loading affinity washer go bust on me. The door gasket has a huge rip and wires have spilled out.
Anyway, I once owned a Maytag Neptune gas dryer and love it. Best dryer ever IMO. Had to sell when we moved and went to electric.

I've been looking at what to replace this terrible machine with and my choices are.
Maytag Atlantis ( looks like a Neptune but is it?) Top loader

Speed Queen, older model. Top loader

I'm also in need of either fixing my
dryer ( whirlpool Quiet Dry 1...it's really not) as it tends to eat our clothes. I'm guessing the felt is wearing away.
my choice for this is either

Maytag Neptune electric

Maytag Atlantis electric

IF I can manage I'd like them to match but if the speed queen is a superior matching I'd forgo that thought.

I can manage minor repairs with guidance but can't be without a washing machine I wash an average of 4 loads a day.

Any advice would be of great help.

I know many here would swear to the Speed Queen, but I'd honestly vouch for the Atlantis if it's in good shape. Hands down the best machine I've ever owned, and it's still chugging away without so much as a hiccup at my father in law's. It was bought in 2002 brand new from the true Maytag dealer in Tuscumbia, AL, and since then hasn't had a single service call or part replaced. I've taken the machine apart once to clean out gunk and inspect everything, but that's it. I actually posted pictures of it months ago in a thread.

In addition to its reliability, it has always been an excellent performer. The basket is huge, and paired with the LoadSensor agitator with its low profile vanes and wide powerful oscillations, it can handle an overload of towels no problem. Rinsing has always been excellent as well. I've never recalled *needing* to use the extra rinse option unless I just had a wild urge. As far as spins, I believe it spins at around 650 rpm like a Direct Drive Whirlpool, but because of the wider tub diameter, the loads always seem more than adequately extracted.

My ONLY complaints with it would be that because of the drive system reversing for agitation, this also runs the pump in reverse, which froths air up through the basket and causes major suds if too much is used. Thankfully these days HE detergents work perfectly fine in normal top loaders minus the foam, so that should no longer be a problem.

Part of me wants to buy both....
just in case, but that's not doable right now.
