Hi gang <br
O'er here somewhere in Minneapolis is a (supposedly) never used 1957 Kenmore washer, complete with box of Tide, and the lady wants 600 for it. Here's a pict or two, you can find it on Minneapolis Craigslist under the search "washer". I was the first one to call, and its hard to talk with your tongue hanging out, but that kinda moo-la is over my head. SOMEBODY here among us can give it the home it deserves however... 6 large ain't too bad considering that '58 or so GE set on Ebay went for several times that!

Not quite Minneapolis BUT..

Ooops <br
I was typing so fast to get this posted, i double checked it and its located in Dayton, which is about 30-40 miles west of Minneapolis. WHO CARES?? An unused Cyclafabric??? Holy SH*T, Batman, we gotta live one!

Just called, were are in the same neighborhood actually. They are busy tonight, but I'm gonna go look at it tomorrow. I will keep everyone posted.

I just spoke to her on the phone and I asked where she was, she said was near me in south minneapolis. But I didn't ask where the machine was, lol! Dayton, oy.

More Pics of the BEAUTY?

Robert, I do hope you'll take your camera with you and ask if you can snap some more pictures that are a bit more close up...also some of the inside as well.

Hopefully, if she sells it to me I will take lots of pictures of its maiden wash too!

Laundromat...

DON'T count on getting the amount that they say on the news and on TV...they go by how much you paid in on taxes (Line 10 on 1040 EZ). I was expecting 600.00, but received only 333.00 That sure put a damper on my plans. :( STUPID GOVERNMENT!

Preventitive maintenance.

Since WP/KM washers are known for issues with rusting center posts, would it be a good idea to remove the inner tub before the maiden wash and coat the outer tub & center post with POR-15, you know, just in case <br
Robert, you wouldn't dream of using this one for parts for your '57 LK, now would you? (Just checking <br
Can't wait to see how this one turns out

Robert what a find!! I am so happy for you and I sure hope it works out that you get it. I agree with Greg, you must save its first wash for a very special occasion!!

Oh Yes Robert Go Get It.

Wow, now that is amazing. God works in mysterious ways. You have searched for a centerpost to make your 1957 Lady whole again. You've looked high and low, and even (as you put it) "raped" a poor but beautiful old Whirlpool for that part. If you buy this washer, not only are you getting the new post, but a whole new unused Kenmore along with it. I can't wait for you to bring it home and post it on YouTube or Googlevideo. <br
Good Luck
James

Unimatic....... This Beauty Looks Like Your 1957 Lady Kenmor

I would've never dreamed it in a million years. A brand new machine (that's 51 years old no less) <br
She's beautiful too. I would like to see who would be the lucky one to nab THIS one <br
"Unimatic" <br
I know this beauty is in the neck of your woods, but I am with one other poster one here. You're not going to part out a perfectly new 1957 #2 Kenmore to renovate/repair your 1957 Lady Kenmore, are you (LOL)??? <br
Really...... you wouldn't do that, would you, Uni???? <br
