Check to see if there is a setting on it, because it may be set to full, which would explain the chemical taste on your dishes (or other peoples). Set it it Low and go from there. Even a little will be enough if you have trouble in soft water.

DW detergent prices

Hello every body!!!!
Today I am off my island, went in Athens, Greece for some shopping and I bought tow packets of detergent, Finish Quantum, 60 tabs 14,99€ and Fairy Platinum, 48 tabs, 12,60€ .

I wonder how much they would cost in your countries...???

Do you think those are reasonable prices?

The 1.5kg bottle of Finish Powder (2x Concentrate) we purchase (and lasts roughly 80-100 washes) costs about 14 euros. We gave up tablets completely because of this (And lets face it, with soft water, some of the "features" or "gimmicks" in the tablets are useless: Like "Salt" or "Rinse-Aid" or even "Tea Stain Removal"), and we get great results, with the Rinse-Aid on about 20% setting
