Great Video.
Terrible Machine Design. Whatever happened to Whirlpool's service in position design? Move the machine from the wall simply for control panel access?

I didn't watch the entire video, but if the clothes were the reason the pump wasn't working why did he replace the pump? Seems like it would have been cheaper to leave it in after testing to see if it would work. That would be my request.

Assume

I would assume that the machine would be under some factory warranty and maybe he could replace it at no charge to the customer. The real question is how did an article of clothing get to the outside of the washtub and past the pump protector in the first place.

It was a repair staged for the video. Otherwise, why would he say right from the get-go that he was going to replace the pump.

Malcolm, I'd say the chances of an item escaping the tub is quite slim...unless the machine has been doing illegal spin-drains.
