New blender

My Philips Essence blender (matching my hot pot and Senseo coffee maker) started leaking (guilty! I put it in the dishwasher a few times because I couldn't get the basis off anymore and it needed a thorough cleaning). I saw a new Philips Essence blender in a store and bought it. The new model has 650 Watts (the old one 500) and the blender jar is bigger than the old one. The speed dial is continious variable. Silly is that the new one was cheaper than the old one. I guess the reason is that the old one was made in Brazil and the new one in China. After making a few smoothies I am happy, although the raspberry seeds aren't totally pulverized. Well, €69.95 ($88.-) isn't a bad price for a blender like this. The link goes to a picture of the old blender.

In the picture the color difference between the blender and the other appliances is more noticeable than in reality. Just noticed it after looking at this picture again.
