New Brake Tube Assembly with 6 pad clutch

So I am in the process of restoring my 1994 Kenmore washer. I replaced the clutch with a 6 pad, commercial grade quality one (purchased from Lorrain furniture) The clutch came with the green spring. I notice that with the brand new brake drive assembly tube I bought, it only works with the blue spring on the clutch. With the green spring on, the tub doesn't catch the brake for some reason. However, with the original basket tube assembly, it works fine with the green spring. Any thoughts on this?

Do you have pictures of the parts used, was the 6 pad clutch a real WP clutch ?

Correct. The tub did not catch the brake once I replaced the drive basket tube assembly using the clutch with the green spring. I was told the machine needs to use the blue spring on the clutch, yet the brand new clutch I bought came with the green. I’m confused with the color of the spring and why one is working with the old drive basket and the other isn’t. Sorry, hope this is clear.

What is the six pad clutch a whirlpool FSP clutch?

The spring won’t make any difference

Is the clutch band installed upside down that can make a difference, but generally the clutch has nothing to do with the brake catching

It came with the green spring. What is the difference between the blue and green spring? I'm not sure which is correct for my style machine.

Use the stronger spring however, the spring won’t make any difference with the brake

Maybe I had a defective drive basket? Which color spring is the stronger one? The green?
