The new flair came in on Sunday, and is looking pretty sharp! Everything works, even the outlet. I haven't tried the "roast tender", as I lost the little probe thing somewhere, but since it didn't work on the old one, I'm not going to miss it on the new one. Does anyone know if those plug-in temp things are still available?

John's been a real peach about all the vintage stuff. I actually went to look at this one just for the hell of it, and he's the one who thought it would be neat to have an "upstairs" and "downstairs" flair. Who knows - maybe he's planning to move to the basement? ;-)

One thing that I am at sixes and sevens about (I don't really know what that means, but I like saying it) is the fate of the Westinghouse Slant Front dryer. The house is largeish, but there really isn't a good place to put it, but the crusher is obviously not an option. Does anyone want a free Westinghouse dryer?

Re: Hi! Dan, might you have a:

Pix of the Westy Dryer to show us the Model that you have to offer?

Awesome

Great to see them working and being used, yes I am jealous!
Thanks for sharing the picture, it looks new!

Dan,

Your Flair is just beautiful, and how great that everything works. I lived in a rental house years ago that had one just like it. I love the layout of the controls on this model too.
Congrats on your find and the fun you'll have using it.

Drmitch, the coffeemaker is a "Mary Proctor Starflight" by Proctor-Silex. Strangely enough, I have an extra one that looks exactly like it, but is labeled a "Lifelong" Proctor-Silex, and also has a logo of three bars with SCM writen on them.

Toggle (and anyone else who is interested) here is the dryer. Available for FREE to a good home, or barter for something fabulous (like Flair rotisseries or temp probes ;-)
