NEW GE cooktop

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

My Grandparent's moved into a brand new home in 1955 that had a GE all electric kitchen. The cooktop was identical to this one. Even at the high price, I think that if we had a home that could use a built in cooktop I'd likely buy this one, just for nostalgic reasons. I have also cooked on these GE cooktops and I always found them to work well.

Thanks for posting this.

Just getting to look at a NOS GE cooktop from 1964 makes me giddy. Just imagine if it were a NOS washer from the same year in the same color.

I think I just heard Paul faint way up North.

What's the stainless steel rim that goes around the cooktop called? It's the same rim that went around sinks.

Beautiful

I don't think I have seen one with a small speed heat high wattage burner before. I hope it goes to a good home.

Most all GE

And Hotpoints had the extra high speed Calrod 6 inch unit, both ranges and cooktops. It was one area that GE was leagues ahead of Frigidaire and Westinghouse, no complicated switches to tear up, and not quite as fast, but close.
