I'm really liking the new job. I had my first injury on Friday. I found a knife in the sink the hard way. Cut the tips of two fingers on my left hand. I won't be putting any more knives in the sink.

Might be a good idea to use a wooden spoon or such to probe the depths of the sink before plunging one's hand therein.

In a shared kitchen one can never really be sure what someone else may have dropped in there.

I was the guilty person that dropped the knife in the sink after cutting a block of cheese in half. I don't even drop knives in the sink at home and when I put them in the dishwasher they go with the point down. The cuts are healing but they are still tender especially when typing.

I started working for Kraft Foods here in Wausau this last Wednesday (10/28). The facility here in Wausau is the only plant of theirs to make the grated Parmesan and Romano cheeses they sell. This plant also is 1 of 2 that makes the cheddar powder for their macaroni & cheese dinners. The security is very tight, needless to say, and the smell is a bit overpowering to say the least, but the hourly rate makes it all worthwhile. Wish me luck!
