Kohler sinks, tubs, and toilets... now in living C O L O R

A few months ago I made a post about Mexican Talavera sink and toilet painting, as an option to get classic colored bathroom fixtures if you're trying to replace a broken or non matching fixture in a vintage bathroom, or just wanting to restore an old home's bathroom back to what it looked like originally. This is still a viable option for that, but as they are manufactured in and ship from Mexico, it makes in person shopping and returns difficult.

While still looking for ways to get a green toilet to match an old sink, I discovered that Kohler is temporarily revisiting two of it's classic colors to celebrate 150 years in business. The colors are Spring Green and Peachblow, and are said to be true recreations of these shades that they used from the 1920's up into the 60's or 70's.

While the colors are classic the fixtures are modern current designs, this makes the tubs and some of the sinks a little disappointing because they aren't true colored fixtures as the bowls are just the same old white porcelain and the color is only seen on the lower outer shell. But the toilets and pedestal sinks are full colored porcelain.

Pretty cool if you enjoy that old look.

An aquarium tanks worth of water in every flush!

Very welcome,

I agree completely. I've looked at vintage toilets to go with an old porcelain sink I have, in the same green color, to make my bathroom look as if it's from this time, but have worried about them for the water consumption, and other reasons.

I requested a tile color sample from Kohler to see if it matches at all. The tiles in these two colors were out of stock but on back order, (you have to call directly to find that out and to pre-order it)

I notice they only seem to be on sale in these colors directly from Kohler's site, and not at Lowe's or similar big box stores.
