The Montgomery Wards dryer got some TLC today. Mainly cleaning and I didn’t think it was too bad. Check out the shoestring someone installed at some point for holding the top up.

Some fun with the washer.

Those shoe strings were installed in both their washers and dryers by the manufacturer so when you popped the top, it wouldn’t fall of/backwards. Pretty clever!

All of these years later it still functions as intended and it is indeed very handy.

Now I know what that world famous axial fan looks like that pushes the air through the drum. Surprisingly a simple design, thought it would have been more complicated but surprisingly simple.
