New to me PHILCO refrigerator

Can anyone date this Philco refrigerator? Here is the outside ID plate in the first picture, and the 2nd ID plate under the bottom drawer inside. The 3rd pic is not my fridge, but same exact model that I picked up last weekend.

Any help appreciated.

And these appliance salesmen try to tell you a old refrigerator will run up your electric bill BULL,,,Not these old manual defrost fridges Look at the rating plate on ANY new fridge,,ususlly 3 times that!!!

In all my googling that page never came up for me in the search results.

I'd have to agree 1955 is correct .... and 11 cubic feet capacity per the inside tag info. This fridge is quite a beautiful MCM design, especially when restored back to original condition, as seen by pictures of restored examples below.

The tag says 2.8 amps @ 115volt on the back. So, if this fridge ran for 5 hours per day @ 13 cents average cost per kWhr here in the US, it would cost 21 cents per day to operate! But I'm only guessing that it would run about 5 hours in a 24 hour period.

What do ya'll think the average run time for a refrigerator is per day if you didn't put away hot food and it gets opened 10-20 times a day? More or less than 5 hours per day?

I just got lucky. I googled "Philco refrigerator date code" and there it was. That doesn't happen very often for me.

Average Run Time Of A Refrigerator

In a 70 degree home with normal usage is about 50% or 12 hours a day, but keep in mind it is not likely drawing 2.8 amps the whole time it is running, it is more likely drawing a little less than 200 watts.

It is likely to cost anywhere from 25-50 cents a day to operate depending on many variables.

If interested plug it in to a Kilo-Watt-Watcher when you get it running and track its power consumption for a year.

Since this is a manual defrost ref it is probably about the same power consumption as a new 25 CF ref with all the bells and whistles.
