Wow! I went on Comet & Currys last night and so many new machines have come out of the woodwork!!!!

Beko have jointed the 9kg Club! In white and black with chrome door! Very nice..

Black Indesit-current 7kg model in full black..very nice looking.

Hotpoint have done there "version2" as i like to call them where all the models have 1's or 2's on the end but look the same minor differences prehaps.

Bosch have there new varioperfect range..

Zanussi have some new basic essential models with the old style big handles..not to mention that god awful samsung in disguise model...

And last but not least my absalute favourite that i've been waiting for...

The Lg range...With 6motion wash technology....

With the top of the the range 11kg WITH STEAM!:D

Hey!

Beko joining the 9kg club is a worry. Alot of companies seem obsessed with drum size and spin speed to the detriment of the quality. I hope Beko have developed the motors & bearings to cope accordingly, unlike others *glares at Hoover/Candy* ;)

Hotpoint and Indesit seem to be just tweaking things rather than going all-new, which might be good as it may mean more work going on behind the scenes. Addressing quality would be alot nicer than a new facia or drum size where theyre concerned. They generally look quite nice anyway.

Zanussi as you know im rather worried about. Hopefully Samsung havn't delivered a complete duffer of a machine at Zanussis expense. Time will tell.

Glad you got to see the new LG. I bet you were moist :P

Liam.

Hi Darren, I noticed the same thing the other day.

Another one for the list is Panasonic's new range.

Only a few minor differences but the 'Quiet Wash' 'Tub Clean' and 'Delicates' programmes have been removed and replaced with '15oC Wash', Sportswear and then either 'Baby Care' or 'Memory' depending on model.

The Duvet cycle has been renamed Bedding

and the Cottons Eco is now A-30% rated for energy efficiency.

I like the new additions except I wouldn't have removed the Delicates cycle. Now the machine has only 1 gentle cycle and thats the Wool and Silk programme. Which barely tumbles at all, since its a Handwash cycle

jerrod6- the steam function is excellent for stain removal and softening fabrics as steam molecules are 1600 times smaller than water and penetrate deeper. I love my lg steam washer. Darren

Logixx-The Medic rinse adds about 15minutes! Very strange this side of the pond to have warm clothes lol! I don't use it too often but i do like it. Its very effective!

Maytag UK website:

Under "washing" in "premium washers" all you get is an over-tweaked Whirlpool machine, stay as far as you can from those! Bearing failed 3 times in a year on mine... and let's not talk about abysmal wash and rinse quality!

Bring us the Bravos

Nice and all as the Askos are, when will Maytag produce a 240v Bravos washer for us?!? Now the that TOL US model has a heater (admittedly only 1200w), it is nearly perfect fodder as an up-market UK model. We used to get the Atlantis and Neptune models, retailing at over £1000 (convert that to dollars!!) and the latter, with built-in heater was very popular here.

The Bravos could probably do quite a bit better than the whirlpool toploaders' G-rating, so come on Maytag-Whirlpool UK, do a 240v conversion with a 2500w heater and clean up over here!
