Hi guys,

David and I spent the last week entertaining John Lefever (Combo52) while he was in Australia.

While John was staying at my place, he took a keen interest in my collection and did most of the work in getting the Maytag Neptune TL that I brought out in the container up and running, plus stripping down the commercial Norge ready for new seals and bearings.

So, I showed John a couple of Australian machines working: one being the Hoover 565. Listen carefully and you'll hear his voice in the background!

Oh.....I've disabled comments on this video to avoid the trolls that commented on my previous video and the passive-aggressive remarks I was getting from a member from this site.

Apologies if the video goes a bit dark occasionally, the extra light kept going out.

Cheers

Leon

Good Turnover

It seemed like there might be one too many sheets in it. I was impressed with the turnover. Got to love the rampies. Looks like a very good washer overall! Thank you Leon for the video. I wish Hoover TL had been available here in the U.S.
I liked the Hoover styling over the Blackstone.
Hugs, David

Blackstone Hoover Toploader

US versions of these machines were available briefly around 1974 in the US.

It was really fun to see this operate even with my experience I had never seen one of these run before and either the Hoover or Blackstone addition.

Had a really great time in Australia Leon's collection has to be at least the best in all of Australia, at the airport now waiting for flight back to LA.

Highly recommend a trip to Australia to anyone wish I could've stayed longer Leon and David were great hosts.

Thanks, Leon, for the video. It's fun to see the spin speed pick up after the spray rinses end. Seems like a very quiet machine, too.

If I could ask, how does the lint filter work? I don't see any water being recirculated through the tray.

Hoover 565

Thanks for the video.  I love watching any and all washing machines at work.  Great looking machine.  It even managed to get the sheets with  air bubbles under the water.  Nice long rinse cycle.  Thanks again.  Tommy

IS THERE A SHOT OF THE CONTROL PANEL?

Sorry if I missed it in the clip but is there a view of the controls? This is a gr8 machine. Takes me back to Easter 1970 when my parents took me with them to buy a new 535 to replace an original Hoovermatic.

How terrible to have passive aggressive comments! Still it's all in the interpretation. Best to ignore it and stay strong like you have learnt to do.
I think you over loaded the machine. Just saying so as it's a sure way to wear out the gear box and the brass drive dog.
When are you putting the proper agitator into it Leon? Be great to see that.
