Newer KitchenAid Dishwasher On Craigslist

"Kitchenaid Superba Dishwasher (1996) for sale. Needs the pump/motor replaced from what I can tell, which will cost about $165 for the part. I'm not a fixer-upper kind of person, and just try to get my husband off his lazy behind....so I'm just going to buy a new one. Didn't want this to go to waste in case someone is in need of a dishwasher and is capable of fixing or knows someone who can fix. Other than the pump/motor spraying small food particles on my upper row of dishes, works great! Bottom row of dishes is always perfectly clean!"

What do you Kitchenaid experts think, does the motor and pump need replaced?

if it's running

and spraying water out of the spray arm i would guess that the motor/pump assembly does not need to be replaced. maybe something is preventing water from getting to the upper spray arm?

I was thinking the same thing, if it was the pump and motor it wouldn't work at all. There isn't a picture of of the dishwasher. But if I had the $70.00 I would get it. I wonder of the filter needs cleaned.
