Ah the ol' Maysung in platinum. The dryer was a hell of a lot better than the washer, but still had some electronic issues.

I have that dryer model....it does ok but now some mechanical problems are starting.

Is that the Samsung mfg one, or the Whirlpool mfg one?

Doesn't look a bit like the "original" Neptune, nor like the matching dryer for the Neptune top loader...

Samsung made dryer. They came out with these and soon after Maytag was bought by Whirlpool

Samsung was sourced for front-load washers and dryers before the Whirlpool takeover to give Maytag a larger, stackable pair than the Newton-made Neptunes. Maytag agreed to provide service for Samsung branded appliances as part of the deal and Whirlpool inherited that obligation in the takeover of Maytag. I believe WP is still sourcing a set of these sold under the Amana name.

I have that dryer. I paid $1200.00 at Belowes. I like the fact that if the CFM's are cut back due to lint, it will alarm you and will not turn back on till you vacuum the dryer duct out. It has never given me a problem, yet.....Bill in Az.....
