Smaller capacity because of the bulky fan being BEHIND the drum instead of underneath like just about every other dryer.

And yeah that tiny door.

These are excellent dryers and make good "daily-drivers". I personally don't mind the shallower drum, one can empty it without needing to be a certified spelunker.

Years ago I gave one away to a neighbor in need, tight budget as she moved from a rental into her own home. The drum was sure small for such a large appliance, but it dried perfectly and quietly every time.

It was during the 70s that dryers upscaled to the larger capacity that we still have today.

GE and Whirlpool/Kenmore had started offering Large Cap a few years before this was made, along with their standard capacity models.
