Nice mixer pics

The HB model G looks great and is over 57 yrs old! the Pyrex bowls are on ebay all the time, just be sure to ask the seller to pack them well so they can't move while in transit.

The GE model 47 was a late run model not having the hole to accept the knife sharpener accessory. It was one of the most powerful 3 speed non-governor contolled mixers rateed 100 watts.

HB model G.

This has to be one of the smoothest and quietest mixers ever made, much better than the later HBs because of the beaters still having center posts, the later models were notorious for bending the beaters especially if you mixed hard butter or chopped nuts.

Model G Beaters

The original beaters of model G and before were made of thicker and slightly wider "blades." HB later stamped a ridge in the beaters but that just made them more difficult to clean! HB bragged about the ability to chop nuts in a batter, but that caused many a beater to be bent over time too!

HBG

My grandmother was given one of these as a late wedding present in 1946. A few years ago, she gave it to me. I find the performance is top notch, it's nice to use, and cleaning the beaters isn't bad.

It's one I use often and will treasure always.

Someone....

....Will have to find the correct turntable for that HB. The turntable on it is a plastic one that looks like it belongs to a Sunbeam MM series mixer. I'm not saying it wouldn't work, but a serious mixerhead would want the right one.

I'm still looking for the correct chrome turntable for my Dormeyer Princess mixer. Paul Chaks sent me a black one from his parts stash, so I can use the mixer, thank God.
