Hey gang, recently I've tried Gain HE liquid in the Frigidaire FL (with soft water),and found it to be wretched.Only clean fabrics could "get clean" with it IMHO.So whassup with this stuff?

I don't know; the powdered regular stuff sure works like a charm. Sorry to hear of your difficutlties.

Re: Gain

It might be something about Soft Water, because I use Gain "HE" and I've got Medium-Hard Water. It does real well in my Compact "LG" Combo, although I forget once in a while that I'm doing a smaller Load of Laundry and put too much in the Dispenser, but the Fabric Softener compensates and get's rid of the small amount of Oversudzing. It is mainly only some Sudzing at the bottom of the Window and covering the Bottom area of the Boot, but it's gone by the end of the Final Rinse. Since my Neptune Washer doesn't have a Window, when I'm using it, I'm not sure if any of the "HE" Detergent's are being Over-Measured, without Pausing the Washer, waiting for the Latch to Unlatch to open the Door to check, then to Re-Start the Washer. That is as far as I'm concerned, just a waste of my time to attempt to check. That is why I'm not liking my Neptune Washer especially any more, other than the Repair problems with mine as with almost everyone elses First Manufactured Models have caused problems with.

"Good-Luck" with hopefully finding another "HE" Detergent to use, that will work better with Soft Water.

Peace and Happy Laundry Days, Steve
