$500.
I would jump on this fridge if it was near me, but not for $500.
Currently there are two vintage boxes on the local CL: A very early GE Combination in nice shape for $850, and a not quite as nice single door GE of similar vintage for $475. What are these people thinking? They need to stop watching "Salvage Dogs" etc. and start watching stuff like this land in dumpsters on all of the various HGTV reno shows.

The reason it is still here is because it is NOT frost free, this is early to mid 60s once Norge went to FF they were terrible refs and few lasted much over 20 years.

Neighbors who had our same 1949 Westinghouse appliances (their stove was a nicer model -- they had more kids) replaced their refrigerator with a top freezer Norge frostless in the early-to-mid '60s. I remember the clunky looking aluminum cold plate and drain system on the back wall of the fresh food section. It also shut off the fan in the freezer when the top door was opened. It's the only fridge I've ever encountered that did that, so I assume the shut-off concept got debunked somewhere along the line.
It was still running when they moved in the late '70s, but they didn't take it with them. It's not like they couldn't afford TOL, so I always wondered why they went with Norge.

Freezer Fan Motor Door Switch Shut Off
Many refs did this over the years, I guess there was no real consciences as to whether it helped or not, it was one more thing to break and did cause many a ref to stop cooling when the little $2 switch failed.
GE was big with them as well as FD, WP almost never did it, and a lot of newer electronically controlled ref still do it.

I HATE LOATHE and DESPISE
Very few things when it comes to old appliances, But these are the things I hate,,,A Frost Free refrigerator is at the TOP of the list, A MAYTAG washer is next, then a sensi temp range unit, and a self cleaning oven! All have given me untold numbers of problems,,

I recall a friend's AMC basement frost-free refrigerator (Kelvinator) with the cold plate refrigerator and switched freezer fan.
