This is an interesting film produced in 1944, by Public Service Co. of Northern Illinois, and sponsored by GE. Appliances are shown towards the end, in the section titled "Family". The first kitchen shown has a GE refrigerator, and I think the range is also. A huge chest freezer is shown. Don't know what the other kitchens appliances are.

La Salle County was where we lived for a short time until we moved to Georgia in April, 1954. My brother was born in Streator. It's not surprising that they were able to show so many electric kitchens; there was not very much natural gas service in the area before the early fifties. That pressure canner with the big flange and the high domed lid was a Burpee.
