<span style="font-size: 14pt; color: #008000;">The "vacuum scene" in the appliance department is a treasure trove of vintage stuff. I wonder if actual sales of the Hoover Convertible were affected in any way. I'm sure it was a trade-off since Hoover got their classic logo along with so many of their products up on the big screen. I'm not knowledgeable regarding posting clips. I hope this is within the rules of posting photos & videos.</span>

This is a car-centric clip from another Lewis movie. Harold Lloyd did this sort of thing better, but the early Sixties cars are fantastic.

My TriStar/Compact vacuum (turquoise of course) acts like that Hoover when it gets too close to bedskirts and curtains--lol

Speaking of vacuums, love those Hoover Constellations on display! I hope to get one of those someday.

The Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII pictured in the movie is the exact same machine that my parents bought in 1963. It replaced our 1957 Norge timeline.

Jerry Lewis ( not well liked )

From all feedback I have read on him, he was a mean, condescending person to his family, people in the business and even his fans. The French consider him a "genius" and adore him, sure he lead a full and privileged life. But I feel no sense of loss and no connection.
